CONVENTIONS, CORPORATE GROUPS, MEETINGS, AND UNIVERSITIES

Thirty-minute performances bring to life one of America's most interesting and enigmatic founding fathers and may be followed by an inspirational message regarding Mr. Jefferson's coping with adversity. For smaller groups, questions and answers and photographs are popular.

Hear what people are saying about "Meet Thomas Jefferson:"

"Thank you for all of your kindness and the happiness you gave to our kids. They still have not stopped talking about 'Mr. Jefferson' and really feel like they had a famous person visit their school."

-Kelly Oakes
The Oakland School-

"Thank you for your elegant, stately, and convincing impersonation of Thomas Jefferson at the March meeting of the Colonial Dames in Richmond. Your presentation was so beautifully crafted and authenic. The re-enactment was unlike any of our previous lectures and was most enthusiastically received."

- Mrs. William C. Garbee, Jr.
Program Chairman
National Society of the Colonial Dames of America-

***

"I'm sure you've spoken before larger groups, but I'll wager you never had such an appreciative audience. I have had more compliments about your presence and words than about any speaker we've had in my six years as president."

-Marvin Heffner
Alliance Française-

***

"Rob Coles informs and entertains audiences as his ancestor, Thomas Jefferson. We turned to face the stairway and were momentarily stunned to behold Thomas Jefferson in our midst. He proceeded to tell us about himself as he strolled among the dinner tables. His manner was friendly, conversational, at times humorous, and very enlightening. That dinner was surely one of the most memorable in my experience."

-Anne M. Porter
Pavilion IX, West Lawn
University of Virginia-

***

"Authority, believability, charisma. That's what makes a performance of Meet Thomas Jefferson memorable. I have observed Rob Coles in performances no fewer than a dozen times, and every time, the audience is well pleased. Rob Coles holds their attention from beginning to end."

-Billy Yeargin, Executive Director
North Carolina Sweet Potato Commission
President, Tobacco History Corporation-

"To see him walk in wearing clothing of that particular period and with his red hair-it gives you a start. People almost feel like Thomas Jefferson himself is sitting up there talking."

-Joan Jacobs, Executive Secretary

"When Rob Coles walks up the Rotunda steps, people are sure it's an apparition. Everyone leaves our event feeling sure they have met Thomas Jefferson, even though it's 200 years later. I've been in conference planning 22 years, and Rob Coles is a rare find: his performance is good, and his manner is kind. He is always willing to stay for questions and photographs."

-Bobbie Garrett, Vice President
Virginia Bankers Association-

***

"Rob Coles has spoken to our executive seminar since the Bicentennial. He really brings to life the history of the Central Virginia area, especially Monticello and the Lawn at the University of Virginia. He has obviously done a great deal of research on his subject, and moves into the character with ease. His physical resemblance is rather remarkable, and lends a great deal of credence and excitement to what he is saying."

-Charles Tewksbury, President and CEO
Institute of Textile Technology-

***

"Rob Coles' Meet Thomas Jefferson added something very special to our visit to Charlottesville. The background he provided prepared us well for our tour of Monticello the next day."

-Marcia B. Vander Voort, Executive Assistant
State Legislative Leaders Foundation-

***

"A most enjoyable sojourn into the past with one of the New Republic's most enlightened leaders. Thomas Jefferson brings out the best in everyone."

-Dr. David Park Curry
